In February 2016, the Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal will host the First International Trichology and Hair Transplant Master’s Degree, a private degree by the Universidad de Alcala (UAH). This degree will deal in depth with the different therapeutic treatments used on each degree of baldness, as well as their causes and physiopathological mechanisms.
Supported by the Spanish Association of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) and the Spanish Group of Trichology, this degree is aimed at training dermatologists with the skills that will allow them to diagnose and provide both a medical and a surgical treatment to patients with any problem dealing with trichology. For this reason, the course comprises a theoretical and practical training in medical trichology, hair transplant and management of a Trichology unit.
Registrations for this Master are to be made by sending an email to email@example.com from 1st November to 1st December 2015. The Master is made up of 20 online modules and a test will have to be passed after each module in order to move to the next one. This training is complemented by an internship in which students will apply everything they learnt in real cases, with an active participation in hair transplants made at the operating theatre using both the FUT and the FUE techniques for hair micro transplant.
MD Ezequiel Panno will be one of the lecturers of this Master’s Degree. He will focus on hair transplant techniques and he will work under the direction of MD Pedro Jaén, Manager of the Dermatology Service at Hospital Ramon y Cajal, Senior lecturer in Dermatology at the UAH and President of the AEDV, and Sergio Vaño.
